ACTIVITIES
strong>The following activities were conducted by this council:
(1) Executive committee's meeting is held 150 times and the General Assembly has been conducted for 4 times.
(2) The council's annual ceremonies have been successfully conducted each year and the council has partici pated in the National Festivals also.
(3) This council has also conducted several seminars and conferences and have participated in training and workshop organized by others.
(4) This council had purchased one kattha land (348 sq meter) which costs Nepali currency 5, 00,000/-(5 lakh which was collected from donation) and it is located at Dharan Municipality, Ward No.–8. The council has planned to contruct a permanent three storied building on the plot. The layout was made and passed by the Dharan Municipality. Out of our wholesome plan, the task of constructing the ground floor space 65'8"×29'4" with a training hall(27'8"×23'0"), 4 rooms, toilets, stairways and installation of water tank has been successfully completed. The cost of training hall construction is Rs. 572400/- that was provided by the Canadian Cooperation Office (CCO),Kathmandu and the cost for other structures which cost the sum of Nepali Currency 7,73,144/- was collected from Dharan Municipality, M.P's fund and local people's donation including the contribution of this council. The total budget spent in building the first floor construction is Nepali currency Rs. 1345544. For plastering ,colouring of the wall and compound wall of the whole building;Health ministry provided Rs. 3,00,000/- and town development department provided Rs.1,85,000/- from all the above section collected and completed the work in 2014. Beyond the ground floor, the tasks of constructing the 2nd and 3rd stories with similar number of rooms of 1st floor and furniture in all room is still incomplete, which is estimated to cost Nepali currency Rs. 70, 00,000/- approximately and we are looking for the fund. There is Urgent need of one Kattha (348 sq meters) adjacent land around the council's building for other allied activities.
(5) This council had proposed a special insurance policy implementation for cremation and last rituals associated with it for the poor family for which we are searching for the premium fund.
(6) This council had helped 17 households to overcome serious problematic situations by providing them with the financial help.
(7) This council has conducted awareness related training programs for children and women which were sponsored by Unicef, Sunsari.
(8) Auditing of each previous fiscal year has been completed and sent to related Government offices on time.
